Form follows function

Experimental edition interpreting the text 'Form follows function' from the artistically considered office tower by Louis Sullivan, using only the photocopy technique.

The American architect, who originated the expression 'form follows function,' asserts that the shape of an object should directly derive from its intended use.

The chosen edition being in English with a French translation printed on separate pages, the editorial proposal consisted of embedding the English text blocks directly with their French translation. This allows for visualizing the structure of the sentences and the space used by each language, and the resulting text blocks refer more directly to the artistically considered buildings by L. Sullivan.
